TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Love Learning Tutors

I am happy to tutor:

Common Entrance/11+

GCSE: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics

A-Level: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics

My experience:

I am very experienced in assisting classmates in their understanding, study methods and exam technique. As an older sister, I am also used to helping my younger brother with homework and school projects. I have volunteered in a robotics workshop for primary school children and really enjoyed assisting them in building their robots and using block coding to program them.

SKILLS & INTERESTS

I love to teach myself things. I am currently learning guitar, crochet and a bit of French. I also love to play piano along to my favourite songs in my free time. I enjoy baking – my favourite thing to make is lemon meringue pie. I like to cycle through London and find small side streets filled with lots of plants, and I like to play badminton.

WORK EXPERIENCE

My duties included:

PERSONAL STATEMENT

The best parts of my education have been with teachers who encourage intellectual curiosity and inspire enthusiasm for the subject. That is why, as a tutor, I would like to help students discover their passion and explore beyond the curriculum. The personalised experience of tutoring can build great confidence through positive-focused feedback and lessons tailored to the tutee’s individual interests. As I firmly believe that everyone learns in different ways, I like to try various study and revision techniques until a combination is found that suits the student best. I think tutoring should set a student up for long-term success, and these skills are invaluable at any time in your academic career. I also cover exam technique as I believe this can make a difference in grades. As it was not too long ago that I was studying for some of the exams I tutor for, I am in the unique position of being able to relate to how the student is feeling whilst simultaneously being able to provide insight from my recent experiences. I look forward to providing interesting, supportive and fun lessons that will set my students up for success in whatever area they pursue.
