Dr Victoria Barker, our dedicated School Placement Consultant will advise you on every part of the UK's independent and grammar schooling sector, including entry to nurseries, primary school, prep schools, senior schools, as well as devising individual educational roadmaps.
We can support you every step of the way; managing the application process, ensuring that every family is given the best, most professional advice to find the best schooling solutions for them. It can be difficult knowing what the best options are for your child, and as many schools have their own entry procedures some parents can find themselves daunted by the process. Dr Barker’s in-depth knowledge of schools and admissions offices means we can suggest schools that you might not have considered yet and help you create a timeline to follow for the admissions process.
She begins with a full academic consultation to establish how we can help. She will send you academic assessments to be completed at home and conduct an interview, prior to long-listing and short-listing schools, introducing you to schools, advising on open days, personal tours, preparation for entrance examinations and additional tutoring (if required).

Dr Victoria Barker Educational and School Placement Consultant
Dr. Victoria Barker is a devoted teacher, who has worked in a range of educational settings. She helps families with the task of preparing for admission to selective UK schools, both independent and grammar. She taught for 15 years at the University of Sydney, before moving to London, where she switched to the secondary sector. Her most recent post was at The Latymer Grammar School in North London. She holds a BA (First Class Hons) from the University of Adelaide, a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Sydney, and a PGCE from King’s College, London.
A woman of many talents, Victoria is also an author. She has published children’s educational books including the very successful, Complete Graded Spelling Lists, as well as books to help prepare parents for the school admission process.
