This week (May 12th-19th) is doughnut week, and we couldn’t be happier about it! A healthy eater's worst nightmare for sure, but is there anything more delicious than a fresh out of the oven, warm, soft, doughnut that just melts in your mouth?

These artisanal creations by Paul Hurley (The doughnut guy) may just be the best the city has to offer! The zebra doughnut is the creation that secured Dum Dum Doughnuts the top ranking position on our list- croissant dough filled with chocolate buttercream and topped with chocolate ganache! Delicious, is an understatement. What’s better, is that all the doughnuts here are baked, not fried!
2) Bread Ahead Bakery
It’s a crime to visit Borough Market and not get your hands on a salted caramel doughnut from Bread Ahead Bakery. Although, getting hold of one of these can be pretty difficult! Our advice? Get there early, and buy one of every different doughnut they’ve got. You’ll thank us later :)
3) Crosstown
Oh, we would definitely cross town to get our hands on a delicious Crosstown doughnut. The doughnuts here are made with sourdough, giving it an almost bread-like taste. The doughnuts are topped and filled with every imaginable flavour- pomegranate and orange blossom to salted caramel and banana cream! A definite must-have! And what’s better, they deliver! Check your clock, because ours says it’s Doughnut time. We probably aren’t the best judge though, because if it were up to us- it would be doughnut time all the time. We love this shop because of its cleverly named and hands down DELICIOUS doughnuts. Our favorite is the Stranger Rings doughnut (a chocolate glazed doughnut topped with Oreo, Nutella and… glitter) Yes, you read that right!
