TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Qualified secondary science teacher and AQA specialist with extensive classroom and curriculum leadership experience across KS3 and KS4.

Common Entrance: Science
GCSE: Combined Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
A-Level: Biology
I offer bespoke one-to-one and small-group support built around each learner's starting point, confidence level and goals. My experience as a classroom teacher and curriculum leader means I can quickly identify gaps in knowledge, break difficult ideas into manageable steps and adapt explanations so they are clear, memorable and age-appropriate.
In tutoring, I use retrieval practice, worked examples, modelling, scaffolded practice, diagnostic questioning and regular low-stakes checks to keep students thinking and making progress. I also place strong emphasis on exam technique, revision habits, independence and communication with parents so support feels joined up and purposeful.
SKILLS & INTERESTS
I build warm, positive relationships with learners and aim to create a calm environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and grow in confidence. My strengths include adaptive teaching, SEND-aware scaffolding, stretch and challenge for high attainers, curriculum planning, assessment design and clear feedback. I am fluent in English and Albanian, and outside education I have a strong interest in literature, poetry, creative writing and personal development through reading.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Bower Park Academy - Second in Charge of Science and AQA Specialist. I lead on curriculum change, lesson mapping, shared resource development and assessment alignment. Previously, I taught science across KS3 and KS4 at Prendergast Ladywell, Pimlico Academy and Leytonstone School, where I developed a strong track record in differentiation, metacognitive strategies, intervention and student progress. My broader experience includes mentoring trainee teachers, producing assessments, leading enrichment and supporting positive parent communication.
PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a passionate educator with a deep belief that the right support can transform how a young person feels about learning. My approach to tutoring is highly personalised: I begin by understanding what a student already knows, where the barriers are, and what success should look like for them. From there, I build bespoke sessions that combine clear explanations, carefully sequenced practice and regular opportunities for reflection so that confidence grows alongside knowledge.
As a qualified science teacher and curriculum leader, I am used to teaching a wide range of learners, including students who need additional scaffolding, students who have lost confidence, and students who are capable of stretching far beyond their current grade. I use modelling, retrieval practice, questioning, exam-focused practice and adaptive teaching to make learning accessible, engaging and challenging in the right ways. Parents can expect communication that is clear, honest and focused on progress.
Above all, I want students to feel that learning is something they can succeed in and even enjoy. I care about building trust, celebrating small wins and helping learners become more independent over time. My love of education sits alongside a strong interest in literature, poetry and creative writing, which shapes the way I communicate: thoughtfully, clearly and with real attention to the individual in front of me.
