PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am a first-year Management student at the London School of Economics, having achieved ten 9s at GCSE and A*A*A at A-Level in Maths, Biology and Economics. I attended Henrietta Barnett School for Girls, the UK's top-ranked girls' grammar school, and have a genuine passion for helping students reach the same level of academic success through the hard work and dedication that got me here. I have been tutoring for 3-4 years across a wide range of subjects, ages and abilities, from Key Stage 1 through to A-Level. Having recently gone through GCSEs and A-Levels myself, the content and exam techniques are fresh in my mind, so I know first-hand the pressures and anxieties that students face. I believe this is one of my greatest strengths as a tutor: I am close enough in age to genuinely relate to my students, understand what they are going through, and communicate with them in a way that feels natural rather than intimidating. My approach centres on building confidence alongside academic ability. I tailor every session to the individual student, whether that means rebuilding foundations from scratch or pushing a high-achiever to that final A*. I have worked with a diverse range of learners, including neurodivergent students, which has sharpened my ability to adapt and find what works for each child. I firmly believe that every student has the potential to succeed - they just need the right person guiding them.
