PERSONAL STATEMENT

Tutoring offers an opportunity for empowerment and progress. One of the main reasons why I tutor is because I enjoy supporting and helping others achieve their goals. I love helping students to have more opportunities and live a life they are proud of.

As a native Spanish speaker who currently has a native level of English, I understand how difficult learning a language can be. For this reason, I decided to focus most of my tutoring in helping students with English and Spanish. In other words, I have been focused on teaching English and Spanish as a foreign language. Learning a foreign language can completely change your life. It can open opportunities you never imagined you could have. For example, I have been able to spend 10 years abroad in English speaking countries due to my language skills. These past 10 years have changed me to grow stronger personally but also professionally. I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in an English speaking country and worked professionally. This beautiful progress and achievement has been possible due to speaking the language.

Currently, I am also gaining experience tutoring English and Spanish for GCSE and A levels. I enjoy tutoring these students because I love helping them to achieve a high academic standing. I maintained high academic performance during all my school years. It has helped me immensely to attend an American university when I graduated high school. I would not have been accepted without the high grades I attained through the years. Grades and academic achievements are very important in the young years because they set the foundation of how successful the student will be throughout university and professionally.

Besides teaching to foreigners, GCSE and A level students, I can also teach business studies to students of all levels and ages. I graduated with a honours degree in business from Rutgers University in the USA. Rutgers has one of the leading business schools in the state of New Jersey. As a result, I can help any student in this area. I have worked professionally in marketing for a couple of years which gives me also background to help students applying for jobs, internships and getting professional business experience.

Tutoring is a job for people who love empowering and helping others achieve their goals. I consider myself a great tutor not only because of my great academic and language achievement background, but also because I have empathy that allows me to understand the student’s struggles. I have great listening skills that help me to notice where the student struggles. I also have a lot of creativity which makes my classes engaging and fun.
